Bazi Resume
Engineering
the success of a corporate company
through the mechanisms of classical
and traditional Chinese Metaphysic
is widespread in the Asian Community.
In recent years, through the pioneering
efforts of Master Joey Yap and his
team of dedicated staffs and affiliates,
the western world has also began to
notice and accept the effectiveness
of Chinese Metaphysical tools such
as Bazi and Feng Shui. Many big western
corporations have started to adopt
them as part of their business strategies.
Many individuals have also gone into
in depth studies of these subjects
to enhance their daily lives.
The purpose of the ancient art of
Bazi is to help us make informed choices.
With relevant information, we can
make good use of the golden opportunities
that come our way. We can also embrace
ourselves well in the event of a bearish
period. In this fast pace society
that we live in, a clear understanding
of our aptitudes and potentials would
help us get ahead in life.
The philosophy of Bazi is to create
a harmonious balance between the elements
in the chart. There is no perfect
balance in a Bazi chart as there is
no perfect pose in yoga. We would
have to accept our shortcomings and
work on them. In fact strengths and
weaknesses are just perceptions of
the mind. What is important is the
way we manage them through the use
of Bazi.
Bazi analyses indicate that we normally
enter into a business or career due
to the influence of the most prominent
and strongest element in our birth
chart. You are naturally attracted
to that industry like an iron to a
magnet. It represents your strength
and flair in that field of work. It
does not necessarily mean that you
will enjoy the career neither is it
an ambition come true.
The easiest way to identify the strength
of the chart is to look at the seasonal
influence that lies on the month pillar’s
earthly branch. If you were born in
June, the seasonal influence would
be fire as this is the summer season.
You will be naturally attracted to
the fire-related careers like telecommunications,
journalism, fashion designers, chefs,
astrologers and photographers. Having
a heavenly stem’s element that
is rooted in the same element of the
earthly branch or the earthly branch’s
element connects to the same element
in the heavenly stem would also add
strength to the element.
The other alternative is to understand
the structure of the Bazi. For this,
you need to know the heavenly stem
of the day pillar we commonly called
the Day Master. We derive the structure
from the seasonal influence of the
month pillar’s earthly branch
with reference to the Day Master.
These can be divided into four categories
that are further classified as Direct
or Indirect structure base on the
Yin and Yang polarities of the elements.
The Resource Structure is the element
of the seasonal influence producing
the day master. For example, a water
person born in the autumn month, as
it is known in the production cycle
that metal ‘produces’
water. They have academically inclined
personalities. These are the people
who like investigative, research and
planning work. We are looking at private
investigators, librarians, astrologists,
archaeologists and scientists.
That which the day master produces
is known as the Productive Structure
as in the example of a wood person
born in summer month. These are usually
creative and artistic people like
designers, performers, artists, songwriters,
authors and those in the entertainment
circle. If this structure is extremely
strong, they make good public relation
managers as well because of their
expressiveness and eloquence.
The third category is known as the
Officer Structure. This is defined
as the element of the seasonal influence
countering the day master. For example,
a Metal person born in the summer
month of June is fire countering the
metal day master. People of this structure
would have a natural flair in authoritative
work like in managing positions, supervisors,
grassroots leaders, bosses, principals
and executive positions. When the
structure is fully supported, they
may become chief executive officers
and political figures.
When the day master counters the element
of the seasonal influence, this is
known as the Wealth Structure. For
example, a water person born in the
summer month would have fire as the
wealth element. If the wealth element
is extremely strong in the chart and
the day master is well supported,
then we can generally conclude that
this is a wealthy person in the making.
Unfortunately, there is another scenario
that when the wealth element is strong
but the day master is not well supported
and thus weak, then this could be
the life of a bank teller, a foreign
exchange worker or just an employed
accountant.
This is a general guideline for your
awareness of the career you are more
incline to. Many times, we analyse
both the dominant element and the
structure for a more complete picture.
For example, when you belong to the
resource structure and your dominant
element is fire, chances will be that
you may have a passionate affinity
in the search for logical and tangible
solutions to conventional knowledge.
An investigative journalist or a rocket
scientist is the career path you may
be threading on.
The fundamental value in a career
is to be happy, excited and amply
rewarded. Thus we recommend careers
that relate to your useful god and
your favourable gods. It will be like
attracting bees to the honey.
The Useful God is the element found
in the chart that harmoniously balances
it. Take for an example; a water person
born in the winter month would need
fire to liberate the frozen ground
and water. The water may then flow
with the guidance of earth to nourish
the woods. Spring abounds again. Harmony
is achieved. Hence, the useful god
is the fire element found in the chart.
The favourable elements are what the
chart needs to bring equilibrium.
They may include the useful god and
they need not be found in the chart.
Their appearances in the ten-year
luck pillar and annual pillar bring
good tidings. As in the above scenario,
water in winter is abundance so metal
and water are not favourable; fire
and earth would serve a better function
and wood would remain as a neutral
god. Careers related to a fire or
earth element would be a productive
one.
A Ren water person sitting on the
fire horse and born in late autumn
of the snake year and hour, fitting
into an indirect resource structure
with fire as the useful god and dominating
element, would incline to find an
enjoyable and fulfilling vocation
as a religious leader, a charismatic
clairvoyant, a gifted psychic or a
Bazi practitioner.
