FAQ – Google Business View
Google Business View is like street view inside your business. It allows you to showcase your interiors and invite customers inside with a 360-degree virtual tour of your business. Also, you will also be able to expose your business to Google’s billions of users, with increased visibility on Google Search, Google Maps and Google+.
Google Places is a free business directory listing, offered by Google, that helps a business get found by visitors online in Singapore; via Google Search and Google Maps. A Google Place page provides users with a clean overview of your business together with pictures and a virtual tour. Your customers will be able to call your business, get directions and read reviews from a friendly-to-use interface.
Google has brought the same street view technology (which your users are already used to using) indoors and created Business Views. These virtual tours capture multiple 360-degree panoramic photo shots of your business to give customers a preview of your interior premises so that they will know what to expect when coming to your physical location. This technology will help you to entice more potential customers by bringing your business to life.
We'll be able to accurately determine the amount of time needed to photograph a tour. Typically, it takes around one or two hours.
To help us speed up the photography work, you may want to ensure that your premises are tidy and all furniture/decorations to be arranged in accordance with the way you want them to be featured/showcased.
Once we have done the photo shoot, we'll stitch and process the photographs for submission to Google's system for approval. The approval process at Google involves quality check and detection of errors. Generally, your tour should be live on Google's network 14 days from the photo shoot.
The photo shoot is best done when there isn't a crowd at your business premises. We are able to arrange for the photo shoot to be at a time of your convenience to minimize disruptions to your business operations.
Yes, you will have full rights to the photographs and will be able to use them for other purposes or displays upon full payment for our service. Do note that by signing the agreement provided by us, you are also licensing the use of these photographs to Google, who shall be permitted to publish and distribute them.
Our photographers will always alert your customers and employees before a photo is taken. Google’s guidelines states that all faces must be blurred for the virtual tour. As such, the panoramic imagery will be processed by blurring technology to blur out faces of any employees or customers who appear in the it.
Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to let our customers review the virtual tour before having it go live on Google. Reviewing the virtual tour will involve a considerable amount of processing work.
